The first exhibition to present the capabilities of the laboratories of the Sha’a network of Bushehr province was inaugurated on Monday morning in the presence of the governor and a group of provincial and national officials at the Persian Gulf University.

Dr. Mahmoudi, President of the Association of Standard Partner Laboratories of Bushehr Province, said at the opening of the conference: “According to the law, the National Standards Organization is responsible for compiling and testing imported and domestically produced goods, promoting standards, and so on.”

He added: “We are standard partners and the tasks assigned to us are the same as the tasks of the standard organization.”

He added: “Our first task is to test goods and samples for export, import and domestic production.” In Bushehr province, the investment cost of partner laboratories is over 100 billion Tomans.

The head of the Association of Standard Partner Laboratories of Bushehr Province pointed out: Up to 1,760 items, equivalent to 95% of the goods that are produced, imported or exported, are tested in Bushehr Province.

He continued: “We have 20 unique laboratories in Bushehr province and we can be happy that in the southeasternmost country and the most northwestern part of the country, test samples are sent to Bushehr, which is an honor for Bushehr.”

Dr. Mahmoudi pointed out that Bushehr was selected as the standard secretary of standard development for one year due to the high rate of editing in the country.

He compared Bushehr province with neighboring provinces and added: In Fars, the number of items tested is less than one third of Bushehr.

He stated that we test more than 90% of the province’s imported goods and 64% are tested in Hormozgan.

He added: “We need to update our devices and universities and banks should cooperate with us in this regard.” The partner laboratory is a good place for the employment of educated and literate young people.
